Sítio Paineira Peaberry Microlot: A rare treat for special moments

Only about 5% of a coffee cherry harvest contains so-called peaberries – small, round beans that grow individually inside the fruit. This natural rarity provides a particularly intense aroma and a harmonious, concentrated sweetness.

Our peaberry beans come from our family farm in Lambari, Minas Gerais, where they slowly ripen at an altitude of around 1,000 meters in the mild mountain climate. Like all our coffees, they are picked by hand, carefully sorted, and brought to Berlin without any middlemen. There, we gently roast them in small batches to bring out their delicate notes of hazelnut, caramel, and delicate chocolate.

Since 2014, our family has been managing the farm in Lambari according to strict sustainable principles: careful use of water, preservation of natural vegetation, and careful hand harvesting of each bean.

From cultivation to export, everything remains in the family's hands—transparent, fair, and uncompromising in quality.

After harvesting, the beans are transported to Berlin, where they are gently roasted in a drum roaster – always in small batches. Each batch is tasted to ensure a consistently balanced, aromatic, and pleasantly low-acid flavour.
